When I click on f4se_loader.exe, it opens a black box for two seconds then shuts down. Using Fallout4.exe and Launcher works, I can play fine.

	I have Fallout 4 v. 1.10.984 and F4SE 0.7.2.

Now, buckle up, because I tried to fix sht. Longer story in F4SE post section, i'll try to shorten it.

I tried (mix of my ideas, reddit, nexus posts, youtube, prayers, sweat, tears, other liquids-):

	- installing BASS and Archive Library

	- downgrading to 1.10.163 - furthest I got, it got me to loading the game through f4se_loader.exe, I could play, Mods not dependent on f4se ran fine, settings didn't show f4se version, console too, mods like MCM didn't work

	- checking nothing from old modding days was left, including deleting Vortex and manually deleting all archives.

	- reinsalling Fallout multiple time. Each time after uninstalling I deleted folder in Documents and in Steam Library to prevent conflicts with leftover files

	- all of the compatibility modes

	- running it on low, high, full screen, borderless, windowed, fcking carpeted, it's been 5 days guys

	- turning off virus protection and windows defender

	- installing it with Vortex and MM2 (I always manually install F4SE)

	- doing some .ini stuff ppl said on youtube, it's been time, i don't remember

	- crying

	Any other ideas?

	1)Cant find it.

That green hat rag is so vile it raises my bloodpressure everytime i see it on one of my female NPCs.

And they just seem to keep finding those somewhere in my settlements no matter how nicely I dress them.

	2)As for the shacks.

No one can survive a NorthEstern winter in them and they seriosuly break my immersion.

I could just use the proper windowed houses from Homemaker expanded for my settlements and TSBs (and sometimes I do) but I seen to remember there was something that upgraded the vanilla shacks?

And I am not tlaking about hunkered down.

	Anyway, any leads appreciated

Hello, I have been looking for a good Minutemen quest mod for a while and have yet to find one, then I came across this video

See, this right here is something I think would be amazing if it was turned into an actual quest mod, and alongside that it would also have some more choices like for example handing over the Railroad to the BoS and an SS2 HQ system for the Castle and more. I can elaborate if anyone is interested.

At 764 settlers in 40 settlements now.

Have a few huge settlements. largest is 55 settlers.
Smallest is 2 settlers, just an outpost really, to secure the flank to one of my largest ones.
Then there are some with just 8, if the locations are small and not great.
Those are usually designed to maintain my factions presence aover the various maps and also as waystations for my frequent Minutemen patrols. (from a SKK mod)

But the rest are mostly large ones 20, 25 and over 30 settlers not being uncommon.

Somerville for example I always make strong.
Its at 28 settlers rigth now, almost half of which are well armed men and 3 of them are in T51F Power Armor carrying heavy weapons.
Somerville is the Southeastern anchor ppoint of my military presence to shield the Commonwealth from the threats emanating from the Glowing Sea.

Plus Somerville stands somewhat alone, is surrounded by Mirelurks, Gunners and Swamp people (from South of the Sea mod)
Speaking of that mod, in my game the Glowing Sea is also filled with a veritable Army (both in numbers and equipment) of militant Children of the Atom being led by a prophet.

This is really the primary reason Somerville has to be a powerful garrison town securing the Commonwealt's Southeastern flank.

I frequently launch Power Armored and heavily Armed Minutemen of level 40 and above, as Ground Dominance Patrols into the Glowing Sea to deny and disrupt CoA forces.

Why am I not overwhelmed with settlement attacks?
Because I use SKK settlement attack system and set frequence of attacks to its maximum time interval.
Every 8 hours of play time.

To get to 1000 settlers (which is still my goal) I would have to start settling less desirable locations and maybe get another New Lands mod or two.
And i prefer fewer but larger settlements for security and efficiency and make smaller ( and therefore less defensible) settlements only by exception and if they are in vicinity of strong ones.

Predictably, my tax income right now, is huge, as all my large settlements are designed as commercial hubs for the district/region they are in.
With every sales vendor station manned.

On top of this I have several safehouses in the Commonwealth, Far Harbor, and some New Lands Maps.
Just in case the Minutemen lose a war against maybe the Institute or the BoS.
Then I would doubtless be a hunted man.

Safehouses usually are well hidden in hard to find areas, feature a bed, a toilet, water, an ammo stash with at least one very good gun, a good number of Gold bars and a Power Armor (usually T51F, but a couple with SE-01F, with either the anti-rad or the reduced Fusion core use upgrade) and a half dozen fusion cores on tables.

This is a bit of a read, but hear me out. I have an amazing idea for a large mod (FO LONDON size) or maybe even a whole game like NV. Who could I contact to get the ball rolling on this? Here is the overview...

	Fallout: Fortune Falls

Tagline: Where hope flows, but fortune is fleeting.

In a post-apocalyptic world, where survival is a daily battle and every scrap of history is buried beneath the sands of time, a small settlement rises amidst the ruins—Fortune Falls. Built around a waterfall that powers the last remnants of an old world infrastructure, the town stands as a symbol of hope, its future forever tied to the secrets of a legendary treasure lost to history. The treasure, rumored to be a vast hoard of pre-war bottle caps, lies buried in a forgotten alleyway, now hidden beneath rubble and booby traps. The quest to unearth this fabled fortune becomes the heart of a new chapter in the wasteland.

As a wanderer in this dangerous world, you are drawn to the mystery of Fortune Falls, a town with a reputation for secrets and ambition. At the center of it all is the treasure—a fortune capable of changing the course of the future. But the journey to claim this wealth is fraught with peril, and its final fate is as uncertain as the fall of the waterfall that powers the town Itself.

	Setting Overview:

The town of Fortune Falls sits near the ruins of what was once College Station, Texas, home to the Texas A&M University campus. In the pre-apocalypse world, the area was known for its vibrant college life, bustling streets, and the infamous Bottlecap Alley, a quirky landmark where locals threw beer caps (Nuka Caps) to wish upon, creating a vast treasure hoard.

When the bombs fell, the area was not spared. The university and surrounding town were decimated, leaving only remnants of their former self. In the aftermath, Bottlecap Alley was buried under rubble and debris. A massive sinkhole, triggered by the destruction, swallowed the street and surrounding buildings, submerging the famous alley deep beneath the earth. The roadways leading to it collapsed, and the memory of the bottle-cap treasure faded into legend.

Today, Fortune Falls is a small settlement built on the edge of the collapsed area, its inhabitants barely aware of the true history of the legendary alley. Most think it’s just a story—until a new faction, driven by rumors of the treasure beneath, sparks a race to uncover its secrets.

	The Factions

In Fallout: Fortune Falls, you’ll choose your allies carefully as you navigate through the wreckage of the past. As with all Fallout games, your decisions will shape the world around you. But this time, the stakes are high. The treasure you seek could be your salvation—or your ruin.

	1. The Pirate Raiders: A ruthless, wandering band of raiders who see nothing but opportunity in the treasure. The pirate raiders care nothing for the history of the treasure they seek—only for the power they can seize with it. As nomadic pirates, with no permanent home, they roam the wastes in hoards (instead of paltry bands of three or four), bringing chaos and destruction wherever they go. Join their ranks, and you’ll find a path full of reckless violence, wild adventures, and ultimate failure. Their blind greed leads them into the treasure’s dangerous traps, and they will pay the price for their hubris. But will you?

	2. The Brotherhood of Steel: The Brotherhood of Steel has long been a faction of order and control, collecting ancient technology to secure humanity’s future. When they catch wind of the bottle cap treasure, they decide to take it for themselves—under the guise of keeping it safe for the future. Their cold, calculating nature means they see the treasure as just another tool to maintain their power. If you choose to side with them, you may find yourself on a morally complex journey—one where the treasure is taken away, hoarded, and used for a future the Brotherhood dictates. But the Brotherhood is not without its flaws, and their intentions could have unintended consequences.

	3. The Legacy of Valetrix Corporation: Once one of the largest and most powerful pre-war corporations, Valetrix Corporation was a dominant player in the fields of advanced robotics, weapons technology, and high-level security systems. Their headquarters, located in what would eventually become the ruins near Bottlecap Alley, was a fortress of cutting-edge tech, vast wealth, and ambitious plans to reshape the wasteland under their control. Valetrix was known for pushing the boundaries of corporate greed and technological innovation, often at the expense of ethics, human life, and the environment. After the bombs fell, Valetrix’s executives believed they could insulate themselves from the fallout, focusing their efforts on a new initiative: securing the world’s wealth through hidden treasures buried beneath the wasteland. Bottlecap Alley, which contained a hoard of wealth in the form of pre-war Nuka caps, was their ultimate prize. They laid booby traps, high-tech defenses, and created a labyrinthine underground vault to protect the treasure—convinced that controlling it would give them unshakable power. However, Valetrix’s insatiable greed and reckless experimentation with dangerous tech came at a cost. Their pursuit of immortality through technology and profit led them to overreach. A disastrous series of experiments—ranging from unstable AI to bioengineered monstrosities—ultimately caused the corporation’s downfall. The company was in disarray. A few of their tech engineers and key personnel managed to escape, but the once-mighty empire crumbled under its own weight, and Valetrix was reduced to nothing more than a cautionary tale. The remnants of Valetrix’s operations still haunt the ruins near Bottlecap Alley, with their security systems still active and the devastating booby traps intact. Their treasure remains tantalizingly close but fiercely guarded by automated defenses, now broken but still dangerous.

	4. The People of Fortune Falls: A settlement built around a majestic waterfall, the residents of Fortune Falls are pragmatic and hopeful. They believe that the treasure could be the key to securing their town’s future and breaking free from the cycles of scarcity and violence that plague the wasteland. While their goals are noble, their efforts are fraught with struggle, and as the treasure hunt reaches its climax, their own fate is intertwined with the decisions you make. If you side with them, there may be a chance to donate the treasure to the town, securing prosperity for future generations—but at what cost? Your role as a potential hero or villain will be determined by how much you’re willing to sacrifice for the greater good.

	The Treasure

The treasure, a vast hoard of bottle caps that could reshape the fortunes of those who claim it, is hidden deep within a crumbled alleyway. Beneath layers of rubble along with old-world and post-war technology, it lies in wait—protected by sophisticated traps and long-forgotten security measures. The treasure is more than just currency; it’s a symbol of a past civilization’s prosperity and a beacon of hope—or disaster—for anyone who unearths it.

As you venture through this dangerous landscape, you’ll face obstacles both physical and moral. Every faction will have its own idea of what should be done with the treasure, but none will truly know its full power or danger. In the end, whether you claim the fortune, lose it to another faction, or destroy it in pursuit of your own goal, the choices you make will define your legacy.

	Hello to all,

it seems, that the author of TFSD is no longer active at Nexus Mods. Such a shame.

Unfortunately TFSD is breaking precombines and is leading to crashes around the stadium, especially at the Police Precinct 8. Tested with a clean safe and with only TFSD installed.

But there seems to be not one patch to fix this out there!

Please tell me if I'm wrong - any hint on how to play TSFD without problems or crashes is appreciated!

I know there are several mods that are supposed to make TFSD compatible with other major DC mods (DC Expanded, The Hole Redux, Flashys CandP,...), but I haven't had good experiences with them in the past. I don't use many of the other major mods anymore either. I actually only use:

--> The Bleachers 1 (cause I'm not able to run The Bleachers 2)

+ some patches to make these compatible with each other (this is working)

	So:

Any tips to get TFSD working without having to download what feels like 100 other mods and patches? Is there any patch that is fixing the precombines that TFSD is breaking?

I'm developing a mod that aims to enforce behaviour packages onto npcs dynamically during combat gameplay in fallout 4.

	The process is as follows:

Quest with RefCollectionAlias starts when OnCombatStateChanged is fired.

RefCollectionAliasses filled with their respective Races (supermutants, humans, etc...) using simple conditions and "Loaded Area" criteria.

keywords in the player will drive which packages the NPCs will use, and I cycle through their collection to EvaluatePackages using scripting when the player gets updated.

My question is, how do I efficiently update these aliasses if another NPC is loaded into the game/current cell?

Is there an event I can register to to keep track of newly loaded NPCs? Maybe the Encounter Zone or the cell itself?

When I can isolate this NPC, I'm assuming I have to use forceRefto to one of these RefCollectionAlias? Do I first add a new to the RefCollectionAlias before forcing ref to (to avoid overwriting a previously existing element)?

or should I just stop-start the quest? Is that more efficient?

	Cheers and thanks in advance!

	Hello guys

I have a language problem with my Fallout 4. Once I had set my german Fallout 4 to english and now I have set it back. The problem is that I have now both: Some lines in quests or in the common game are now german and some are in english. Especially in quests is this annoying.

Does someone know how I can get back my game in german? I already deleted my Fallout and reinstalled it, inclusive manually deleting the Fallout 4 directory after I deinstalled the game. Somewhere must hide the secret why I still see english lines between my german questlines.

I am grateful for every helpful answer!

I'm curious about trying them but I wanted to see the opinions of others first since both mods have not been updated in some time.

For a while I've been brainstorming an idea whereby I take settler comfort into account when designing lodgings for them in various settlements. Before this, I was defaulting into building a cheap, huge wooden building with lots of beds in it in order to meet the requirement to have beds (in addition to water and food). However, lately I started to think about this in more realistic terms and thought to build individual rooms for settlers to actually live in. Then, I got the idea to build something more like real apartment buildings (sans parking lots, because there aren't any driveable cars), and specifically hit on the idea of including working bathrooms with sinks, toilets, and showers hooked up to actual plumbing that would need to be taken into account. I then thought to look for mods featuring pre-laid pipes for actual indoor plumbing - I'm thinking of having the pipe version for water of the wires we have for power, except far more rigid and dependent on where exactly you're putting in the fixtures - but I couldn't find any such mods.

Does anyone know where I might find something like this?

	Hello Nexus Mods community,

I've recently started playing Fallout 4 again and I am working on a brand new modlist to further enhance my gameplay experience. I've downgraded my game prior new-gen update, so many popular mods should work. Another great thing is that many (but not all) of these mods should also work for Fallout London.

I really enjoy using Sim Settlements 2 mod with interior plots inside of structures. I have been finding it tricky to place the SS2 interior plots inside structures, though.

I'd love to hear any mod suggestions from the community!

I flew to the Prydwen but Danse was still there waiting for me to take him on a quest, like he always has been since we both went there. I've destroyed the Institute with the *Minutemen long ago. I know I threw out alot of the BOS quests doing that (pfft, whatever) and now Danse is safe however this is still an incongruity in the game.
The BOS and my Minutemen/Commonwealth are headed towards a showdown that will likely start with "Somebody accidently (or not) shot somebody else", its guaranteed the BOS will react so I need to bring up the quest where I fire on the Prydwen cause they wont leave just because I want them too (They certainly are not the Big Dog on this block).
As the title says, I have a weapon mod where it is producing bugged shadows. It is pretty disorienting because it limits the things I see in the dark and I have to use my pipboy flashlight to have a proper flashlight. I want to know how to fix it in nifskope since I heard this isn't something xEdit can fix. I tried adjusting the values for the distance and the radius but to no avail, it still produces the weird shadows. So nifskope is the tool I need to use but I have no idea where to even begin. Mod is MK18 CQBR with the MK18 1000 Year Expansion mod

For comparison, the next pic is another weapon mod with proper flashlight

Does anyone know of a mod that removes mirelurks from Fallout 4? Thus far my partner and I have only been able to find one to replace them with robots (antiphobiamirelurks by joecrematorium), which turns them invisible and invincible as often as not, and one that makes only kings spawn (mirelurk king spawn only by Curlyxd & Xylecion), which does help with my phobia cause the kings aren't as scary but it doesn't really let me play the game cause they are *way* too strong for replacing all mirelurks with them to be a good idea. I'm just absolutely terrified of mirelurks for some reason and can't really deal with them on my own but I'd rather be able to play Fallout 4 without needing my boyfriend there to hold my hand the entire time lol

I've watched some videos on how to convert cbbe to fusion but all and all I'm very confused and was wondering if some can help me with the load order, creating my character, and setting it all up. Shell Type > Buckshot > Flechette > etc... I created 2 keywords for the mod slots and even made sure the object mods have their attach points pointing towards my own keyword but they don't appear in the weapon on the workbench.
