TES Nexus is owned and paid for solely by the owner of the site, Robin. The site uses one server to display the actual site and three servers in seperate locations to provide the file downloads. As a result the site costs a lot of money to run and maintain. The site generates some revenue from advertising found across the site but it is also supported by generous members of the community, known as Premium Members, who are willing to pay for additional features on the site. Without either of these revenue streams TES Nexus would not be able to continue or develop.

Features

Premium members receive special benefits over normal members of the site that make using the site easier and more efficient. New features are added to the site each month, but here's a list of the current implemented ( icon) and planned ( icon) features solely for premium members.

Uncapped file downloads. Premium members can download from the file servers at the maximum speed possible while normal members are capped to downloading at 150kb/sec to reduce congestion.

Premium only file server. Premium members can download from a file server available just for them that no normal members can download from. No connection saturation.

Download manager/accelerator support. Premium members can download from the premium member file server using download managers and accelerators with full download pausing/resuming and multi-threading/tasking capabilities for top speeds.

No advertising. Premium members will never see any advertisements on this site.

Result preferences. Premium members can choose to increase the number of files or comments shown on individual pages.

Full download history. Access to your full download history on the site.

Becoming a premium member

If you would like to help support this site and become a premium member then that is great. Thank you! The premium membership setup and payment is processed via the site forums, in conjunction with PayPal. You DO NOT need a PayPal account in order to pay for premium membership. Please follow these instructions:

Access the paid subscriptions section of your member area on the site forums. Use your site username and password to login if you are not already logged in.

Choose the amount of premium membership time you would like. Each package is self explanatory, telling you how long your premium membership will last, and how much it will cost. Once selected, click the "Continue to select a payment method ..." button.

Select the PayPal option (the only option at this time) and click the "Continue ..." button.

Click the large "PayPal, click here to pay" button. You will now be sent to PayPal for payment processing.

There are now two options; if you have a PayPal account, and wish to pay via your PayPal account, simply login to PayPal using the login box and proceed with the payment as you would any other payment. You do not need a PayPal account. You can pay by debit or credit card by clicking the "Continue" link under "Don't have a PayPal account?".

Enter the details requested, and proceed to pay. Your account will automatically be upgraded* to the "Premium Member" group. To begin using your Premium Member account, simply logout of the site, then login again. THANK YOU for your support!

There is currently an issue with the subscription system on the forums for Premium Members who are paying via the "eCheque" system on Pay Pal. eCheques are like normal cheques in that they take a few days to clear before the money enters my account and the current software can't keep track of when the eCheque money has cleared. As a result accounts stay as "pending payment" on the site rather than upgrading to Premium status.

If you believe you are a victim of this problem please get in contact with me either by forum PM or using the contact forum on the site. I can manually upgrade your account as well as add-on any time that may have been lost.
