Hello, heres a quick tutorial on how to unpack the Oblivion BSA's.

There has been a bsa unpacker with a gui made by Timeslip.
Which you can get here.
Bsa unpacker

But if you are like me, and want to do it almost manually then this is the place for you.

First download Ghostwheels program "Tes4bsa" Tes4bsa

Then make a folder in the C: drive. I will call mine "BSA".

Then extract the contents of the TES4BSA, the file you just downloaded, into the "BSA" folder which you have just created.

Note: Extracting is another way of copy and pasting.

Also extract the Bsa files from your Oblivion data files, only extract "Obl ...

Here's my little tutorial I made for this thread a while back.

Please Note: If you wish to transfer an NPC's face to your Player Character, (whether it's a mod-added NPC or an NPC from within the original game) please see this helpful tutorial posted on the SpellHoldStudios forums. It's a little bit more difficult but very effective.

Ok, follow the cursor:
IN WRYE BASH:
First, find the savegame that does not have the face you want in it, the one you want to replace with the new face.
(It will probably be your newest new gamesave.)

Select it, and right-click to open the context menu, select "import face":

This is how to use Oblivion Mod Manager to create a text file with your mod load list. This often when troubleshooting, or just to share the mods you're using.

Click the Import/Export button on the right:

Then Choose View Load Order from the drop box

You'll get a list box with your load order

Click the Disk at the top menu to save

Give it a name and save it on your desktop

Open the document in wordpad or notepad and
CNTL+A To select all, CNTL+C to copy all, and then
press CNTL+V to paste all into a post or a reply on the forum. ...

Being able to communicate with friends while in-game is a problem that many have attempted to solve over the years. Using an email based messenger such as MSN or Yahoo is okay, but they both require you to “tab out” of your game to use them. And if you’re in-game when someone IM’s you, you have no way of knowing unless they buzz you and hope you hear it over the sound of gunfire and explosions.

In-game messengers such as Game Face, seem to solve the problem, but only ...

I test hundreds of weapons and armor mods yet lots of them forget basic things.
This basically outlines all the mistakes that ive seen in my time!

Most of the mistakes I see are elementary and can easily be fixed yet are really annoying to users, so here goes:

1. Make sure its easy to find/get to.

2. Make sure the description says if the mod is a re-color or a re-texture (new artwork). Also, for weapons, if its 2H or 1H.

3. Make sure it works with display cases - Some people display unique items. In some cases upon re-entering the room with the display case the sword/item jumps around like crazy before falling out of the closed display case.

4. Make sure there is an icon - If ...

Hey everyone!

After a lot of searching (which involved this article by WoogieMonster), I decided to try to find a way to fix it.

I finally found a method, which was posted in the xfire forums. Either way, I've made a video to help anyone who is still having issues. Typed instructions below.

1. Open your Oblivion folder
(Generally C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion)

2. Right-click on Oblivion.exe and select Properties...

3. Open the Compatibility tab.

4. Check the 'Disable Visual Themes' box. Apply and hit OK. You're done! ...
