Ok after playing through the process of making and skinning armor etc, heres my list of revised instructions, using Jaysus' Fallout3 Skinning Workaround Tutorial as a base. The overall Armor creation process goes like this:
-Concept & Design
-Creation in 3d program
-Texturing
-Skinning to a skeleton in 3d program
-Nifskope
-TESConstructionSet
-In Game
This tutorial covers the fifth step, Nifskope. Next to skinning the model, this is probably the next most complicated part.
With this tutorial you can take Skinned & ready armor meshes from your 3d program (Blender/Max/Maya) and get them ready to go into TESConstructionSet
What you need:
-A Skinned Armor/Clo ...

I have had a conviction on my heart for a while now concerning the clothing/armor mods I make and release. I have struggled and ignored it for quite some time. The bottom line is that the mods I make may cause a brother or sister to fall to sin, and I have a responsibility to own up to as a Christian. The other side of this issue, in my recent marriage, I want to honor my wife.I will no longer make or support outfits pertaining to sexual desire. I will keep mECB nude on nexus, but my focus will change to more clothes on my female characters. ...

So I know this probably isn’t going anywhere but I just wanna write up my ideas for TES5.I was thinking of some good locations for the game, I remember rumors in Oblivion about Summerset Isles, Eleswyr and Skyrim, and about internal struggle in the empire since the emperor is dead. There were also rumours about morrowind, which would be a decent place to explore, since the actual game morrowind was set on the island of varddenfall, off the coast of the mainland a.k.a the province of morrowind. But I was thinking a cool place to visit would be black marsh. My friends favourite playable race is argonian, and I think the terrain there, as well as the possibility to make a cool back-story, would make it an awesome experience. So with that ...

Bben46 Complete Reinstall Procedure for Oblivionrevised 4/3/09, added recommendation for System Restore per suggestion by Qwaxalot
Revised 3/9/09: modified the disclaimer.
I would appreciate any feedback on this as it is something I expect to post often and I hate to give bogus or useless information.
Even though this has worked for many people, You get a disclaimer, just like the big software companies use to limit liability.
This is usually a last resort and your game is already trashed. I cannot be responsible for any damage you manage to do to your game when trying this. You are free to use this procedure and post it as you see fit. If you make any changes, please take responsibility for them ...

You will need:a problem that looks like this
OH GOD THE HORROR
tes construction set(get it here
A backup of the mod that added the new race that gave you the problem.
The problem:
This problem comes from installing a mod that changes the base eye textures and models to something where the left eye and right eye use different textures. I use Elaborate Eyes, which you can get here. This works fine unless you have another mod which adds an extra race, playable or unplayable, which uses the existing eyes. What ends up happening is that Oblivion finds eye MODELS based on the definitions for the race, but finds eye TEXTURES based on a race-independent procedure. So Oblivion ...

There is a new petition on the petitiononline.com site about the thorny theme that touches all of the Bethesda's games - lack of proper testing. Probably all players of their games experienced a lot of problems with various bugs, crashes, design problems and more that should have been repaired BEFORE the game was published. Do you sometimes have the feeling that you are, in fact, a real tester of game? So this is a petition addressed to Bethesda, telling them that they should start testing their games properly. If you share this opinion, you can sign it here:

The Elder Scrolls IV, to me, is by far the best game I've played aside from DDR. You have the opportunity to escape the everyday hoo-hah of real life. You can pour yourself into a wonderful game of fantasy, where you control almost every aspect. And the mods! Oh, Lord, the mods!
There are some incredibly talented modders here. I don't even need to mention names; they stand out enough as-is.
I was told by an old modder friend that 99.9% of mods for ANY game are made for the creator, and it's up to the creator whether their mods get shared. The same is true for myself and many modders I've been lucky enough to chat with.
So you can only imagine how horrid it feels when you pour your heart and soul i ...

Have a mod idea but no images?Message me with a detailed description of your mod request and I'll put it into a 3 dimensional state and post it in the File Requests/Suggestions forum with the tile "At the request of (username)" for modders to look at and create for the game. I am not a modder simply a graphics render artist. I will send you photos of the finished render for you to approve before I post it. All I request for the "requester" is that you stay active on the forums for updates on your request. I will not hold on to these renders for extended periods of time so if you truly wish to have a render of you mod please stay active with me and the forums.
Disclaimer: Requesting a mod render doe ...

This explaination was originally posted in a thread where the OP wanted a mod where one faction could fight against the other in some sort of war situation. After trying to explain that Oblivion does not handle this very well, I decided to provide a case which would provide this kind of setup so that they could witness the limitations on AI firsthand. This example assumes that you have a decent background in using the CS, can use the various editors, know how to make new worldspaces and interiors, and have done some light scripting, NPC creation and quest work. Knowing how to create and use regions for the purpose of setting up weather, generating trees/rocks, or blocking the player from wandering too far away will likely also pr ...

I will take you step-by-step and soon you will be gaming like the rest of us. NOTE: These settings are based on windows Vista. If you are not using Vista then ignore steps 2 and 3.
FIRST, install Oblivion into C:\Program Files\Games
SECOND, once you have the game installed and it appears on your desktop, right click and click on "run as administrator."
THIRD, click on Start\Control Panel\Security Center\Other Security Settings and turn your User Account Control (UAC) off.
NOTE: Disabling the UAC is not completely necessary. Disabling the UAC cuts off the annoyance of the permission request every time you install or open a program onto your computer. This is 100% optional.
